Richard Keegan, PhD, Adjunct Associate Professor at the Business School at Trinity College Dublin, Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Northern Iowa, and Guest Lecturer at the Technical University of Berlin. He acts as the advisor to the World Class Activities of the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Co-Operation, a role he has held for nearly 20 years. Massimiliano M. Schiraldi, PhD, Associate Professor of Industrial Systems at “Tor Vergata” University of Rome in Italy, teaches in the School of Engineering since 2000. Visiting Professor at the Guizhou University in China and at the University of Essex in UK, member of the doctorate board at the University of Limerick in Ireland, he is the editor of two major scientific international journals and he has published more than 100 scientific contributions.

Filippo De Carlo, PhD, Associate Professor of Industrial Systems at the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Florence in Italy, has been involved in several international and national projects. Author of more than 70 publications in international journals and conferences, his research topics include industrial plants engineering, maintenance, industrial safety and risk, and energy management.

Marcello Fera, PhD, Associate Professor of Industrial Systems at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli in Italy, is the author of more than 50 international publications in Operations Management and Industrial Systems Engineering. He is an Associate Editor of the International Journal on Interactive Design and Manufacturing. He is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Industrial Engineering Computations and Cogent Engineering.

Alessandra Cantini, PhD is an Assistant Professor at the Politecnico di Milano, where she teaches Innovation in Action. She has been teaching Supply Chain Management at the University of Florence. Her research areas of interest include warehouse and inventory management, supply chain management, spare parts management, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence. She is the author of more than 20 publications for international journals and conferences.

Mario Caterino, PhD, is a Research Fellow at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Salerno. His main research topics involve Operations Management, digital twin, human factors, and optimization algorithms. He is the author of more than 30 scientific publications for international journals and international conferences. He is an Associate Editor of the International Journal on Interactive Design and Manufacturing.

Italo C. Fantozzi, PhD candidate at the Department of Enterprise Engineering at “Tor Vergata” University of Rome, Italy. He serves as an Assistant for the course of Industrial Plants and Production Management. His research interests revolve around the significance of the human factor and artificial intelligence in Operations & Supply Chain Management.

Leonardo Leoni, PhD, Adjunct Professor of Supply Chain Management at the University of Florence. He is the author or co-author of more than 30 publications in international conferences and journals. His current research interests include operations management, supply chain management, and the safety, risk and reliability analysis of industrial equipment.

Francesco Mancusi, PhD, post-doctoral researcher in industrial plants at the University of Basilicata, and consultant in project management and EU-funded project design for public administrations. His current research activity regards the dynamics complexity of the closed-loop supply chain, focusing on products’ end-of-life management and recovery processes’ sustainability. He also investigates the reliability of human-robot interaction within industrial systems.
